IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!!

I had my ultrasound today and everything looks great. I am measuring small (as always), but have a healthy baby girl. Kylie is so excited. She was hugging the ultrasound pictures.

Kylie's Birthday Party

Kylie had a "Royal Ball" for her 6th birthday. We sent out scroll- like invitations saying "Hear ye, hear ye by order of the king and queen Princess Nicole is invited to attend a royal ball. . . ." They were to come dressed in "rags". We had them slay the pinata dragon and then their fairy godmothers appeared to help them get ready for the ball. We painted nails, had dressups and jewelry, decorated tiaras, etc. For the ball we served them lunch. I had lots of help and it couldn't have gone better- even Kaden took a nap during the whole entire thing!!!

We went swimming with stingrays in Grand Cayman Islands, scuba diving in Cozumel, cave tubing and zip line through the rain forest in Belize, and snorkeling in Honduras.

8 Years Ago. . .

On March 28th, 2000, I met Jake at the airport. I went home and told my mom about him and said, "Wouldn't it be funny if I married him? That would be such a wierd way to meet." I really didn't think anything would happen with it, but he called the next day and invited me to go to Sand Mountain with him that weekend. What was he thinking? I told him I appreciated the offer, but didn't think an overnighter was a good first date. Plus, I don't ride 4-wheelers. I have seen way too many people hurt at the hospital from those things. So, why that wasn't a turn-off enough for Jake, I don't know. For those who don't know Jake, 4-wheeling could be his life. Instead of never calling me again, he decided to prove me wrong. Before I talk about our first date, let me just say (besides not 4-wheeling) I don't like hot dogs and I don't like to get dirty. We went 4-wheeling, cooked hot dogs over a fire, and I was covered from head to toe with mud. Wow!! For a date full of things I "don't" do, I actually had a lot of fun (only because I love to pray and I was praying the whole entire time that I wouldn't die- ha ha)! And that is the end of this story and the beginning of our story.

Why Kylie Can't Go to School

Kylie comes up with excuses at least a few times a week for reasons she can't go to school. She told me that her neck hurt so bad. I asked her what it felt like (big mistake). "It feels like it does when poo comes out of your bum- the really hard kind." I can't say I've ever had a response quite like that one from asking patients at work to describe their pain. She's one in a million- just like her dad.
